PM9 - Berlin

Berlin, Germany

The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love colour the most,” John Ruskin famously proclaimed in the 19th century. Our attraction to colour is innate and influences us every day, in a myriad of contexts. In our technology-centric world today, the possibilities of colour are great than ever.

At a special exhibition at Urban Nation, Berlin, curated by SAN Projects , the arcane effects of colours in the contemporary urban environment are explored through the work of 10 internationally renowned artists.

Whether in large-scale murals in urban environments around the world, or on smaller scale pieces on paper and canvas, the ten featured artists—hailing from around the globe—converge to investigate the specific way a high-octane acolour palette can produce an intense visual experience. In some of the works—shown for the first time in Berlin—this emerges from the interactions between colours and their tensions and contrasts; while other works inquire into the expressive qualities of colours in the context of visual culture today.

From figurative forms to more abstract treatments, each artist offers their own interpretation of bright colours. For artists including Askew, Tristan Eaton, Bicicleta Sem Freio, as well as Okuda San Miguel and Fafi, the figurative portrait is reimagined as a psychotropic mix of patterns and 80s comic-book hues, where lines are deconstructed and progressively dissolved by a spectrum of the most vivid colour and abstract forms.

URBAN NATION MUSEUM -BERLIN

Berlin, Germany

The vision of a global art community, a network without limits, became reality on September 16 2017 when Urban Nation Museum For Contemporary Art opened its doors.

SAN Projects x A R M Holding x Tarsila Schubert

dubai, uae

SAN Projects is proud to announce the completion of Stage 1 of a landmark public art project in Dubai, developed in collaboration with A R M Holding. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to integrating culture and creativity into the fabric of the UAE’s urban spaces.

Situated within a visionary new district, the project introduces a permanent sculptural installation by Brazilian contemporary artist Tarsila Schubert, renowned for her large-scale murals and expressive public artworks around the world. Translating her distinctive graphic language into a three-dimensional form, Schubert’s sculpture engages with light, movement, and architecture to create a dynamic focal point for the community.

Conceived as an evolving open-air sculpture park, this project transforms the site into a vibrant cultural landmark, an inclusive space designed for daily interaction, reflection, and artistic dialogue. Produced and curated by SAN Projects, the park will continue to grow through new artist interventions and public engagement programs in future phases.

This collaboration underscores A R M Holding’s broader vision to shape culturally enriched neighborhoods and establish Dubai as a regional capital for public art and design led placemaking. For SAN Projects, it marks another milestone in delivering conceptually bold, technically precise art experiences that define the character of urban life.

Based in Dubai and operating across the GCC, SAN Projects continues to partner with developers, municipalities, and cultural foundations to bring large-scale, site-specific art to public environments, turning architectural space into cultural experience.

Monumental Sculptures at H Residences Dubai

Produced by SAN Projects for ARM Holding

dubai, uae

SAN Projects presents a series of monumental outdoor sculptures by artist Thomas Canto, commissioned by ARM Holding as part of the private development art program for H Residences, developed by Huna Living. Installed in Dubai and presented for a six month period, the works form an integrated sculptural ensemble responding to architecture, light, and movement within a residential environment.

Produced and delivered by SAN Projects from concept to installation, the project reflects a shared ambition between artist, developer, and producer to introduce contemporary sculptural language into everyday urban experience while meeting the technical demands of permanent outdoor display in extreme climatic conditions.

The sculptures Structural Reflections, Glitched Perspectives, and Gravitational Infinite Inertia created in 2025 are unique large scale works fabricated in mirror polished stainless steel with protective coatings engineered for high sun exposure, heat, and humidity. Each sculpture is self standing and designed specifically for long term outdoor installation in Dubai.

Across the series, reflection is treated not as a surface effect but as a structural principle. Fragmented planes compress multiple viewpoints into singular forms, capturing architecture, sky, and pedestrian movement in constant transformation. As light shifts throughout the day, the sculptures evolve, bending spatial perception and creating moments of visual interruption within the built environment.

Installed in open areas of H Residences, the works engage directly with pedestrian flows and architectural volumes. Rather than functioning as isolated objects, they operate as perceptual devices, anchoring space while simultaneously dissolving it through reflection, movement, and time.

SAN Projects oversaw the full production and realization of the project, including technical development, fabrication coordination, structural engineering, logistics, installation, and on site execution. The collaboration highlights SAN Projects’ expertise in delivering complex large scale public artworks that balance artistic vision with architectural integration and technical rigor.

This project reflects SAN Projects’ ongoing commitment to shaping meaningful art experiences within private developments, working closely with artists and developers to integrate ambitious contemporary artworks into architectural environments.
